You were obviously the decision maker in this agreement ?, your son was the product of the agreement. Did you agree to the sum before the shoot ? if so.. then its a bit late to complain. Remember you always have the choice to say yes or no. A lesson well learnt I'd say
Almost all the people I know started working for around R20p/h. Your son is earning R 100p/h and you believe that he is being ripped off? You need to re-evaluate your situation. I really think he is lucky to earn that much at his age.

More than the money, your son is gaining experience. There’s a time to be a good mom and a time to be a better mom and step aside. If you baby him now he's not going to be able to hold his own later on. The sooner you leave him to question the money he's getting and to negotiate his own finances the better for him. Rather let him lose out on a little money and gain priceless experience that he will use for the rest of his life. Dont be his bodyguard, be his council. Good luck & all the best for your futures!
your son rules.....call centre agents, they make R22 an hour...and this rate your son could be a consultant in the kiddies modelling world.lol you negotiated the deal, now live with it...
I'm a stills producer and frequently use babies on set. We pay a day rate (either 1/2 day (4 hrs) or full day (8 hrs) and a usage fee, which is based on how long your image is going to be used and in what sort of medium (magazine, point of sale, billboards, packaging, TV) Usage is normally 6 or 12 months. If less than this, you should negotiate a reasonable day rate & usage fee. I generally pay R750 per day and R1,500 for a "street cast" baby for between 3 and 6 moths usage. But this is not cast in stone or an industry prescribed rate. Rates are sometimes flexible. If your picture is used again after the usage period is up, usage fees go up by 150% of your original usage rate, so 2nd usage period would now be R2250 and so it goes on. I'd suggest getting you baby enrolled with a reputable agency for future and always insist on having a contract, which must be signed and approved by you before the shoot, from the people who are using your baby that stipulates the day rate, the usage fee, the renewal fee and what medium and how long your pic will be used.
