Down right low  by  Frank
While other circumstances may not be clear for now ,this is a little lower than most stunts . Why not collect your competitors branded vehicles off the garage when license expires ,just to embarass and get some attention .All you have to do is place a little sticker directing consumers seeing your uniformed staff driving them to remember your own when they see them ,does very well for image .

With stunts like these even the most unethical clients will begin to see all of us for what we are .

On the whole : Extremely unfortunate behaviour.

Stop blowing your own trumpet ..........  by  LJY
Besides blowing your own trumpet and thinking you have come up with such a mind blowing innovative idea in which you have to discredit other companies in a feeble attempt to make your self look good, you have only succeeded in making yourself and your company look very Foolish and uninformed. If you kept abreast with current name changes and other important factors when looking to discredit other organisations you would have noticed that the company formerly known as "Ogilvy & Mather" is now known to the Industry and most other informed members of society as "Ogilvy". They have registered the .com and .co.uk domains so any attempt by underhanded agencies, like your self, at taking advantage will be Futile.

You are viral advertising agency could you not think of any other way of Building you brand other that discrediting others ? Do you have no other means of creating awareness for you brand other that righting your own article and using Biz-community to get people to read it ?

How about spelling 'Ogilvy' correctly, for starters.

I think the heading pretty much says what needs to be said.
It's not hard, considering you were provided with the controversial web address, which spells it correctly, in the first place. The article loses credibility with such a blunder, especially because it concerns an established brand, a 'giant', if you will. And this is supposed to be a website run by people who 'know' advertising?

PUZZLED  by  puzzled
How can one company register a domain name for another company without a valid reason, other than pulling a low stunt, that they would NEED that domain name!! It’s like KLM registering SAA.co.za or .com!! Domain name registration really needs to be regulated and monitored better.

Long Live the Pot Stirrers
Well judging from the tail feathers that have been ruffled from this turn of events, I'd say the people responsible can congratulate themselves on an excellent viral campaign all round: it's got people talking about them - with a subtle dig at their competitors at the same time. Lighten up people - competition is healthy and there are too many fatcats like O&M out there! Long live the pot stirrers!!
