I wish the same...its really hard to find good courses that you can study when you work or when have other responsibilities during the day. I am especially interested in surface design. I have searched high and low and cannot find anything thats worth it. Its always some two bit company offering a short course and it often costs an arm and a leg and you don't even walk away with a proper qualification. Let me know if you find anything.
South Africa is overflowing with design and creative talent and we can't even find somewhere to study it. Ruth Prowse School of Art is about the only place in CT that offers interesting part-time creative courses: http://www.ruthprowse.co.za/ although not the surface and textile design courses that we're looking for. CPUT http://info.cput.ac.za/shortcourses/index.php?catid=6 doesn't offer surface design as a short course either. I'm going to write to them and see what we can do about that!
