It depends on your goal as a graphic designer and in which part of the industry you see yourself....personally if you are saturated in your current job move on. There is nothing wrong with gaining more experience and growing as a designer.
Thanks Lez, They are planning great things, and keep on sending us on training to better ourselves, it just that, we do more printing than Designing, and both me and my back-up is getting fed up of it. We wanne DESIGN. And they want us to print. We are both qualified Graphic Designers... and we feel like they are holding us back... What to do!!!
If you are not learning anymore- yes, you should make a move then. You have probably reached your 'ceiling' at your current company. Take the leap and make it the platform of where you'll be next. Learn learn learn.
I give myself only one year at a company, I'm just too scared that i stagnate ... I've worked for a national newspaper agency, a large publishing company and I did freelance! Who knows whats next?
I am in the exact same position, only I want to move into event & experiential management... meanwhile great things are happening in the company am at... wondering if I should stick it out or make my move & grow?
New growth and challenges are great but try to stick out a job for at least two years. Employers are looking for stability so too many jobs may make you seem fickle.
