Comments on Loerie Awards comments on partial results leak

The Original Chicken Licken  by  Gregor
The reportage on this entire incident has been the Loeries' Great Non-Event. (Gasp! - Did this ERROR affect the award results?!! Has this incident besmirched the value of the Loeries?!! Shock horror!)
Oh Gosh! we had to go LOOKING FOR the error to find it! How gauche! Please let's have some better drama cooked up to provide something for those permanently seeking something over which to display their negative angst. Why not get back to sex and skinner? Any volunteers?

too late  by  chimera
This is about five days too late as a response. a simple I'm sorry when we were all standing about discussing the leak would have gone a LONG way to mending the disaster. silence and defensiveness are never good PR tactics.

er actually...  by  confused
the Loeries did comment - both in report with Tony Koenderman on Friday last week, as well as on Bizcommunity - with a simple 'yes, it happened - we take responsibility, and it's being dealt with' - what more do you want?

Of course its Google's fault  by  Kev
Of course its Google's fault, it comes across the lawn at night and steals stuff out of your computer while you're sleeping. I've seen it. Afterwards you have to get Google's "direct assistance" to make it let go of the stuff again. Anyway, I'm really relieved that the information was never vulnerable to an attack by a hacker, otherwise we might've seen agencies other than the REAL winners strolling up on stage, like imposters and no-one would ever have KNOWN the truth

Partial? Total Advertising awards?
Er, um, arent' the main advertising awards the only ones anyone cares about anyway? Partial is a good spin on the whole fiasco: all the print, TV and radio Loeries were available and being emailed around the industry A WHOLE WEEK before the media picked it up and asked the awards committee for comment... who then had no choice in the matter! There was no proactivity by the Loerie peeps at all it seems to me! If they were my client, I'd be fired as a PRO yesterday already!
