i know what you're talkin 'bout coz the first time i saw that gameshow I fell victim 2 it. The first give away that the gameshow is shady is the time it's on which is early hours of the mornin' around 1am, they change the hosts and all of them have a British or Australian accent and the callers are certainly no live ... i think eTV should be contacted about this fraud they allow to take place on our TV's stealing innocent peoples cash. it pisses me off everytime i see it playin'
I also think something is fishy there. My hubby tried it and sent an SMS. They SMS back saying "Thank you for your SMS, and ask you a question. Then u SMS back and they thank you for it telling you that you are close, try again...you do..get another SMS saying, "don't give up now, you are getting closer", etc...duh. I can just imagine how much money they make as each SMS costs R7.50 a pop! I am also wondering if it is legal..?
I think there are enough people out there getting blatantly ripped off on this game show. Who would one send a query to? Consumer complaints? Or ETV directly?
I remember the 089 sex, chat and joke lines and the sms thing is the same, because its not CASH that you see handing over to the recipient, one can get caught up and before you know it, you owe the cell service provider quite a few bob. I think there should be some kind of legislation with regards to sms competitions.
