What a great article. It is both inspiring and encouraging! I too am a deeprooted lover of Africa - it has an energy and beauty all of its own, unparalleled in the world. Africa's worst enemy is themselves. We are so critical of ourselves that we forget that we are the most incredible country in the world with leaders that are living legends. Our other enemy is the media. Yes, there is crime, but my word, there is so much togetherness of community too, and that seldom reaches the press. We need to begin to encourage each other instead of criticise. This land is our land and it is awesome, as are the people that make it happen.
A great article from the good doctor, its a pity the presidents he quotes are not south african or even african. Our track record of 1 (the great Nelson Mandela) in the last half century may explain some of our social ill's.
