How innovation can help end the Aids epidemic by 2030
The problem of AIDS is still very acute, and it needs to be solved. Yes, we can use tablets https://sildenafilviagra.com/free-samples-ed-tablets/ and have sex without problems. But let's not forget about safe sex.

Agricultural safeguard levy will boost the local industry, says FairPlay
It is excellent to get these "fat cat" importers back to where they belong! The question is why should it impact the local consumers negatively if the levy increases the imported chicken cuts by 35,3% when they can buy it much cheaper from local producers? The dumping of agricultural products below production costs is in any case against the rules of the World Trade Organisation!!

#EntrepreneurMonth: RentMyRide owns the adventure
I was informed by somebody senior at Rent My Ride that I could in fact rent out my Isuzu 2.8, Double Cab bakkie even though it had high mileage and is a 1997 model. Then when I tried to register my bakkie that my vehicle was too old and could not be insured. I was told this, very rudely and dismissed very abruptly once the lady consultant discovered I was not important as a client. Even though my bakkie is in very good condition. There should be a separate policy for older cars with different insurance or do Rent My Ride only cater for shiny new cars. Many people call me to rent my bakkie but I am not keen without some support systems or a company like Rent My Ride which should now adapt to the market needs and possibly employ less snooty consultants who don't treat you like you just crawled out from under a stone if you have an older vehicle.

New report highlights opportunity for companies to improve their biodiversity performance
"Businesses are critically dependent on these ecosystem services to produce their own products and services, and they also impact on biodiversity through their day-to-day activities, for example, through deforestation for the production of timber or through pollution from the release of waste products.." This is not deforestation - look up the definition of deforestation. In forestry and timber terms, this is harvesting, which like any other farming practice. And like most sustainable harvesting practices, new saplings are planted in their place. The forestry sector is well invested in biodiversity conservation, and has been for decades.

Changing the narrative with online courses in marketing - creating future marketing entrepreneurs
I am actually shocked at the low quality and the high price of online Digital Marketing courses available in South Africa. I started one course, and the quality was so bad (spelling, grammar, facts, definitions) - and the company agreed with me and the facts I presented - that they refunded the course fee. The course I subsequently took (rubber-stamped by a university) was a bit better but definitely not anywhere near university level. Both were about 10 weeks long, the one costing R 14 000, the other R 12 000.

Renting residential sectional title units as holiday accommodation
This new trend of renting sectional units provide a good opportunity for investors to make side income without being burdened by a longer-term commitment plan. This new market would also be suitable to those who are keen on a short-term investment due to various reasons that could be hindering them from committing much longer. It provides a different approach to the whole rental industry.

First phase of revitalised R50m Phuthaditjhaba Industrial Park launched
This municipality hasn't paid Eskom since 2011, is >R2.7 Billion in arrears (Business Day 14/08) and therefore regularly gets cut off by Eskom. Who on earth authorised spending R50 million of taxpayers money for an industrial park with intermittent electricity?

Stellendale offers affordable housing for first-time buyers
Affordable housing is in demand regardless of the location even here in Brisbane. There will always be a certain group of audience that is keen on such a niche market. There has to be consistent supply within this area of interest to ensure that the ongoing demand is always met.

Home-owners to register their off-grid energy installations or face stiff penalties
How can these kind of strict limitations, laws, by-laws and all other regultions to hinder the use of alternative energy ( and limit ESCOM's income) be laid down on the one hand and then we have the drive of proposed land conviscation without compensation on the other. Total draconic law on the one side and unlawfull taking of property on the other. How does that work?Question, and we know the answer: will these by-laws be applied in the less formal townships too?
