PR and the online measurement debate
I would certainly suggest that you also have a look at the recently launched Social Media Measurement Framework by AMEC (the international association for the measurement and evaluation of communication). This now provides hundreds of different metrics which can be utilised to measure social media effectiveness.

New CEO for kalahari.com
I have been trying to get an issue resolved. 4 emails & 3 phone calls later. No help, these online companies are awful especially in SA. You cannot get past the call centre to speak to someone in management. I will never shop with Kalahari again. Amazon is amazing they respond immediately, don't argue, they just fix.

DTI to put R1m into helping black filmmakers
Films played a pivotal role in portraying Africans as subhuman, the government has an obligation to assist indigenous people to tell their own stories and history.

DTI to put R1m into helping black filmmakers
Can't the black filmmakers not stand on their two own legs. There comes a time when black have to work for what they want.In South Africa it seems that they want everything for free.

DTI to put R1m into helping black filmmakers
R1 Million might be misleading or to put it clearly lack of communication packaging. To an ordinary person it seems that DTI will put R1 Million to support the film industry which is nothing, but the actual programme is much more than that. DTI must get a right Agency to position its good work

E-learning: What's in it for me?
Yes agree to the encouragement from management, especially before and after cos it demo's how important they see it- which in turn pushes the student/employee more. Also, you must build live interaction into the training to enrich the experience... Colin Morris -Creative Pitch Doctor

The world's funniest joke - its implications for brands
It's International 'Talk like a pirate day' on Friday 18 September. So a pirate joke would be apposite-yes!Here it is: A pirate walks into a pub and goes up to the bar. The abarman says " What can I get you?' Aaaaarrrrrggghhh, says the pirate" I'll have a beer!" "Fine says the barman, but I need to ask you first why you are walking so awkwardly?" He replies, " Aaaarrrrgghhhh!! I've got a steering wheel in my underpants and its driving me nuts!!"
