New player enters short-term insurance market
At last an insurance company that reduces monthly premiums as the value of your car depreciates. THANK YOU KING PRICE. By the way their claim of saving you 60% on car insurance is true. Their building, contents and specified quote was also fantastic. Posted on 22 Jun 2012 08:44

No, NO! Nando's
I believe responsible companies consider their communities and their contexts especially such things as underlying racial, xenophobic, maturity levels. Whilst some will embrace the concept and see nothing wrong with it - I take it Nandos is (1) not advertising to itself (2) not targeting the few mature, adventurous in their target market otherwise they would not be using such mass media. It is therefore imperative that advertising strategies and campaigns remain sensitive to these issues knowing that strategy is about timing. There's a time we laugh at ourselves and what we used to fuss about yet before we reached that point of maturity our emotions were closely linked to our decisions. Question is: considering the recent past is the timing of this 'great' advert correct not necessarily if it is wrong in itself? What does it represent to those who were affected or can be affected by xenophobia? Do those who support it know anyone personally who was raped, attacked or whose family was killed through xenophobic attacks? An extreme example is how the Rwanda genocide was triggered by seemingly simple issues.Courting controversy as a strategy of getting attention has its limits, a key thing to watch out for for a global brand Posted on 22 Jun 2012 02:09

The fine line between graphic design and art direction
To design is to solve a problem:

design |d?'zin|
noun
1 a plan or drawing produced to show the look and function or workings of a building, garment, or other object before it is built or made : he has just unveiled his design for the new museum.
• the art or action of conceiving of and producing such a plan or drawing : good design can help the reader understand complicated information | the cloister is of late twelfth century design.
• an arrangement of lines or shapes created to form a pattern or decoration : pottery with a lovely blue and white design.
2 purpose, planning, or intention that exists or is thought to exist behind an action, fact, or material object : the appearance of design in the universe. Posted on 21 Jun 2012 16:32

Understanding Radio Playlists
So what you're saying is that Radio hasn't changed that much since the 1940's.
The question to ask in music research is NOT
"Do you know this song"? or "Do you like this song"? or "Hi fellow secret committee members, what's being played by some jerk in a club'?
BUT
"How does this song make you feel'?
Now you can begin to see the science which compliments the art. Posted on 20 Jun 2012 15:22

Three steps to making your brand 'talkable'
Interesting, Nandos have been doing a stellar job with regards to talkability specifically because they don't just promote their products, they also raise public awareness about topical issues, making it easy to talk about their campaigns. Posted on 20 Jun 2012 15:19
