Transparency, accountability sought by PSC
What is the PSC going to do against the non-disclosure by the senior managers? The president previously failed to disclosed and no subsequent punitive action. Learning from the master. It's pretty useless for PSC not coming hard on various departments that do not implement its recommendations thus rendering the PSC toothless.

Minimum wages to be set for gardening service workers
I've had a temporary gardener whom i was paying R150 for just one day regardless of the amount of work. In addition i always picked him up, feed him breakfast and lunch and take him home. He used to work for my former landlord who was paying a meagre R50.

Prasa flouted its own rules says A-G
The Auditor-General's statement in Prasa's 2013/14 annual report said the winning bidder should had been disqualified because it had failed to supply the letters of good standing with the relevant tax authority in its country of origin, as required. The winning bidder also failed to submit tender documents signed by both the winning bidder and the sub-contractor as required by the request for proposal."Naturally, this is a process with its own inherent tensions, but in no way does it suggest this is a dodgy contract," Montana said.Mr. Montana is contradicting the fact.

SARS 'rogue agency' claims may not be far-fetched
I am slowly starting to distrust SARS. I guess SARS has been what it is alleged to be for many years and that it's only now that it's been exposed.

Trading in electricity in Johannesburg
I am just wondering if the filling stations, shops and tuckshops have obtained such licences.

R1bn set aside for township economies
To even meet a small part of what the ANC envisage for the townships, will cost an enormous amount of money. And then the planning has to incorporate changing needs and movement of people. The top structures of the ANC are too fluid to enable it to implement long-term plans. Pity.

Gordhan threatens municipal managers
The Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister, Pravin Gordhan should take his Bols and ring his Bells instead of wasting his time on threatening municipal managers.

Resigning without a new job is not always a bad idea
Hi I did that a year and two months ago, I had resigned (I remember the feeling of relieve wash over me when I handed it in I had resigned three times from the company over the period of time that I was there). I had no other job lined up I simply felt relieve. The company had asked me to stay on an extra two months too train someone new of which I agreed to, however a situation occurred and I simply walked out in angry - I simply had enough. Somewhere along the line I lost who I was. During this period, I have lost everything and I am in financial trouble and obviously finding a new job has been extremely difficult. But I do not regret that decision I made! I am now looking for something inspiring within myself and have been trying to find the me and what it is I love doing. The worries are there but I have been trying to think big and be positive and once that negativity is released one gains a new perspective and the opportunities will come to you having faith and learning patience has been two of my hardest lessons, but I am getting there. However I will advice all of you out there who do want to take the chance please make sure you are financial secure and have positive support for yourself from family, friends. I am living with friends currently. I wish all of you who do it good luck and always stay positive.

Do you take your online reading offline?
Oh yes, the bookmarked articles on my tab is a graveyard of good intentions...In fact, my screenshot gallery is also full of images of Ted talks I'll watch "one day". I recently downloaded the Pocket app - another idle attempt to save "must-reads" for later. Fact of the matter is, I can only recall two days in the last year that I had time to read and watch what I wanted to - one of them was also in hospital. It makes me wonder what happens to all the content I so thoughtfully craft day after day. We know that people hardly read our articles and that we're basically writing for search engines, but how do we even start factoring in the amount of content that just gets bookmarked?

New contamination scare hits New Zealand dairy industry
I remember this a while back! So many scares involving livestock and prouce in storage these days that I'm surprised there isn't a bigger crackdown on additives and artificial production of consumables! If something isn't done about all these things, it won't be long before we start seeing mutations and REALLY scary stuff coming out for the s torage rooms of the F&B industry!

New Zealand Natural Ice Cream opens first franchise in Pretoria
Ice cream is such a universal language! I wouldn't harbour a good ice cream recipe in storage for too long honestly! People are gonna catch wind and tasty things never stay secrets for long when you have people are always on the search for good things to eat. That being said, I can't wait to head back to New Zealand to try this yummy ice cream treat out myself when I get back there!

Between 10and5 to host Show & Tell creative talks
Creative talks are great but unfortunately 10and5 doesn't allow for meaningful debate through their own website. Every article has a comments page but almost none of them display meaningful comments. If a creative media brand like 10and5 support creative conversations and discussions, why do they not allow these discussions to take place on online? Bizcommunity is one of the few places creatives are allowed to strike up meaningful creative industry debates, and it is blatantly obvious that 10and5 has a biased agenda with regard to creative opinion.
