Look after your employees, and they will look after your customers
Amen to that!!!!
This is an article for every boss, owner, manager or the like to take note of...too many times people focus on the people outside of their business whilst losing sight of what is the most important facet of their business....their staff.
They are your biggest brand ambassadors and if not treatedly properly, can become your biggest weakness. Posted on 7 Aug 2012 10:26

QR codes bring email, mobile coupons to life
Im not sold I'm afraid, not in marketing terms anyway. Although its starting to gain traction abroad it will soon be over shadowed by technologies such as RFID and NFC. For something like this to work it needs make the end users experience more convenient, QR does not truly achieve this. Posted on 6 Aug 2012 20:05

Soft power is the new currency
I'm sure that the whole process a person follows after they've acquired a disability (which includes everything from when a person acquires a disability ... right through their recovery process ... till their life thereafter) fits very nicely in social media. After all: this includes everyone - even those who haven't acquired a disability ... YET Posted on 6 Aug 2012 18:44

But is it lies? 'Steve' vs Standard Bank
I think fnb forex my be the worst i have ever used. A reversal has taken more than 30 days and the foreign bank has been waiting for fnb to issue the instruction. I am not sure whether it is a HR problem unfortunately even calling senior managers doesnt help. FNB are not bored in anyway and my numerous calls have gone unanswered. The advise i can give anyone who wants to use FNB forex is think twice. It is more trouble to use than you will bargain for! Posted on 6 Aug 2012 14:32

A home-run for Port Elizabeth!
"Home Run" my tochas!
Local buzz including from exhibitors is that the show was not up to the standards of recent years. The venue continues to be problematic with parking a serious detractor. The layout of the stalls is more like a maze than a trade show. Difficult to find individual stalls and booklets with contact details expensive and far too few! Posted on 4 Aug 2012 16:27
all too much
A home-run for Port Elizabeth!
no parking, too much noise, too crowded (the stalls not the visitors), too expensive to enter, too much noise (again I know).
Far too much for a homerun Posted on 3 Aug 2012 15:27

It's all fine with Jacaranda FM
I'm shocked and hope they weren't paying ordinary people's traffic fines and certainly hope they weren't paying their own. Traffic fines - and I'm the first to shout mea culpa because I know I am guilty of plenty - are no laughing matter, in a country where so many die because of poor driving and disdain for the law. ANC forcing media back into apartheid-era mode
i did not read your story because the headline is rubbish and all i want to tell you its that...the media in south africa
forced itself back into apartheid-era mode by its resistance to reconciliation and healing and now becoming all things to all...it is politically correct, duplicitous and in the third force fold!the third force is the one that is telling us militias are refugees and gangsters are jobless and homeless!the media has not broken away from the old constitution and adopted the new constitution but hijacking it to hoodwink and pander! Chicken a la King(sley) James: Nando's vs Santam
I loved both the Nando's and the Sanlam come back. It was creative, it was witty, it was funny, and it was done in such a light that both campaigns brought positive attention to their brands...and that's exactly the point in any marketing statergy. It's easy to name call and point out the negatives of another company or competitor, but these two companies have managed to raise the advertising bar somewhat and hopefully encourge more positive and humourous advertising. Afterall, we South Africans are known to have a rather good humour!!!! Posted on 3 Aug 2012 11:47
