[AdForum Worldwide Summit] It’s AdForum time again, this time in London

The AdForum Worldwide Summit takes place in London next week, 13-15 April 2011, and once again, I’ll be there, blogging here on Bizcommunity.com and tweeting as @jomcdowell. Here’s an update on the programme for next week.

Wednesday

We will start at 10.15am, at the Zetter Townhouse across from R/GA offices. The AdForum Digital Reboot goal is to give us a deepened understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, from the key differences in how marketing and advertising function in analogue media (ie television, radio, print) versus how they are evolving in digital media.

After a quick stop at the Sanderson to refresh and put a clean shirt and a tie or a cocktail dress, we will all gather in the lobby to head to a secret location where we will judge our traditional Creative Business Awards, followed by a dinner hosted by Christian de la Villehuchet, president Europe, Kate Robertson, chairman UK and Naomi Troni, Global CMO, Euro RSCG. We are expected to leave the hotel at 6pm sharp.

Thursday

The agency meeting programme will start with Gyo:HSR, followed by Publicis Groupe’s Digitas and Razorfish on each side of the lunch. We will then meet Perry Valkenburg, president Europe and COO International at TBWA\ and hold a short meeting with Robin Grant, MD of WeAreSocial, a social media agency with offices in London, Paris, Milan and Sydney.

The day will end with a Q&A dinner hosted by Sir Martin Sorrell with many of the CEOs of WPP “tribes”. A good opportunity to network and ask questions prepared in advance.

Friday

Friday will start with a visit to BBH at walking distance from the hotel and then to IRIS, a large international experiential agency group. We will end our agency programme with a presentation by Jeremy Brown, CEO Sense Worldwide, an interesting and different creative strategic consultancy.

As for the consultant meeting programme, we will hold three meetings: a roundtable to follow up the lively discussion we had in NYC about ways to promote the role and value of the consultants, a presentation by Warren Knight on social commerce and an interactive session with Claire Denhelm on the psychology of the pitch.

We will be able to head back – exhausted - to our families around 3.30pm on Friday 15 April.
