A group of Grade 11 learners at Sinenjongo High School, Joe Slovo Park in Cape Town is leading the charge for free cellphone access to Wikipedia in South Africa. The learners have sent a letter to the four mobile network operators, Vodacom, MTN, Cell C and 8ta, urging them to give their customers free mobile access to Wikipedia.

Search engines have very complicated scientific algorithms that they use in order to determine which web pages come up first on results pages. Google for instance, has over 250 different variables (each holding a different weight) that it uses to determine which pages should rank for certain search queries.
