"These top-in-category awards were received for being chosen by the business community as the top Mozambique radio station, for excellence in radio broadcasting, in the categories of music and entertainment, and news and current affairs," says Judy Milne, director of The Media Connection, a community radio advertising specialist that represents the station.

LM Radio's CEO, Chris Turner, says, "We are delighted to be recognised in this way in the Mozambican broadcasting industry, especially considering that we have only officially been on air (again) since 2010. Dedication, perseverance and a commitment to our vision from our entire team has helped LM Radio become a household name with our 'Happy Listening' lifetime memory, hit music format in the greater Maputo area. We are also fast becoming a favourite station for the younger urban generation who enjoy the style of the 'new' music we integrate into the playlist and tune in to learn English."

In Mozambique, LM Radio serves the English speaking local and foreign residents of Maputo, Matola, Ponta do Ouro, Ressano Garcia and the neighbouring South African towns of Komatipoort and Marloth Park. The daily audience of 85,000 (weekly average 135,000) comprises Portuguese and non-Portuguese speaking middle to upper income professionals and decision makers in the LSM 8-10 group.

LM Radio broadcasts on in Mozambique, 104 FM in Lesotho and surrounding Free State, on Free-to-Air satellite in Africa on Intelsat 20 using a single view DSTV decoder or Free-to-Air receiver as well as worldwide audio streaming at www.lmradio.co.mz.
