Have you entered the 2013 Profile Awards yet?

The competition does not pertain to pure science and technology only.

Now in their 12th year, the Profile Awards identify and honour journalists who excel in reporting across the following five categories:

• energy efficiency
  
• sustainable cities
  
• industrial productivity
  
• healthcare
  
• science and technology photojournalism.

Entries will be accepted in English, Arabic, French and Portuguese and the competition will be administered in English.

Please note:

• The competition closes on 31 July
  
• Entries must be submitted online at www.profileawards.co.za
  
• Entries must have been published or broadcast between the 1 August 2012 and 31 July 2013
  
• One winner per category will be awarded R10,000.
  
• Out of the five winners, there will be an overall winner who will receive an additional R10,000 as well as an international visit to relevant world class technology centres.
