Robert Briel, writing on Braodband TV News, reports that Globecast will be delivering CCTV-français, China Central Television's (CCTV) French-language channel, on the SES-4 platform to West African viewers as part of Canalsat, a package of more than 130 channels, radio stations, and services.
Broadband TV News: Globecast brings CCTV to Africa... The report states that "Globecast is providing a complete solution to bring the CCTV channels to the point of uplink, including contribution, encryption, and encoding."
Said Philippe Fort, CCO of Globecast: "SES-4 and the Canalsat bouquet are the ideal vehicles for CCTV to reach a large new audience of African viewers in more than 20 countries."
