Transferbee enables Nigerians living in the UK to send money to their family and friends in Nigeria, reportedly cheaper than through banks or other systems. The company will charge 4.5 pounds for a transaction. Money will be sent directly to the mobile phone in Nigeria using a growing mobile money ecosystem in the country.
Says Titas Bledis, CEO of Transferbee: "We have chosen Eskimi to launch our service in Nigeria for its high reach and we are happy to experience extremely high engagement of Eskimi users. In a month's time we have grown our fanclub in Eskimi to more than 55,000 fans and Facebook likes to more than 27,000 using display media and Eskimi engagement tools like treasure hunt."
Eskimi launched display media, engagement tools, data collection and a reverse promotion campaign for Transferbee. The key goal of the campaign was to introduce a new brand in Nigeria and to inform money receivers about a new way to receive money.
