Africa in Motion (AiM) Film Festival, one of the UK's largest African film festivals, now in its seventh year has confirmed the dates for the 2012 festival. The festival will take place from Thursday, 25 October until Friday, 2 November at the Filmhouse Cinema, Edinburgh & Glasgow Film Theatre (GFT), Glasgow.
Scotland's biggest celebration of African cinema returns for its seventh consecutive year at Filmhouse Cinema and launches this year for the first time at the Glasgow Film Theatre (GFT). Taking the theme of 'Modern Africa', a diverse programme of documentary and fictional films will explore the African urban experience, contemporary politics across the continent and startling perspectives of the new, the provocative and the experimental.

The film programme will be accompanied by a wide range of events including directors' Q&As and masterclasses, workshops, music performances and a visual art exhibition.

The full programme will be announced on 24 September, and will be available at:
Africa in Motion (AiM) Film Festival, Filmhouse Cinema and Glasgow Film Theatre.
