Tuesday 13 November, 4 PM One of the most important trends in the satellite industry is the development of Ka-band networks. This workshop will cover Ka-band technology issues including rain fade mitigation, how Ka-band enables high network capacity, and Ka-band ground system architectures. Attend this workshop to understand what Ka-band means for the satellite industry.
Satellite Backhaul for Cellular Services
Wednesday 14 November, 10 AM A key challenge for cellular service providers is how to extend cost-effective services to rural and hard-to-serve areas. This workshop will explore the capabilities and advantages of latest generation satellite backhaul solutions, including trade-offs of SCPC versus TDMA, service quality, and optimizing cost-benefits designed into a satellite-based solution.
Maritime and Mobility
Wednesday 14 November, 2PM The maritime industry is constantly looking for cost-effective ways to enhance crew loyalty and provide crew welfare-related services. This seminar will cover how maritime requirements are being met using high-performance yet affordable satellite technology.
Oil and Gas Industry
Wednesday 14 November, 4PM In today's oil and gas exploration industry, the importance of network reliability cannot be overstated. Modern rigs function as complex data collection hubs and pipelines need to be monitored 24/7 to ensure environmental safety and no service disruptions. This seminar will discuss how satellite can efficiently meet the needs of the industry.
