Finally Africa showcases a dedicated decor, design and furniture expo

Rina Fortmann is a formidable and well-known name in the expo industry, not only as a past director of SARCDA but also the former chairperson of EXSA. With this backing, she undoubtedly has a wealth of hands-on experience. The motivation which drove her to launch Inspire Trade Expo, was primarily driven by the need in the industry to have a focused trade platform as well as listening to influential industry professionals that drove her to launch this show.
Finally Africa showcases a dedicated decor, design and furniture expo

This promises to be a unique expo, first of its kind in Africa, which will be showcasing impressive designer products, in addition to local manufacturers, with the aim of blending these with the cream of the industry.

Inspire's focus is on interior designers, architects, the hospitality industry, as well as retailers and corporate procurement within the industry. For a first time event, an exceptionally keen interest is being shown from many sectors of Africa and as far afield as Australia.

Dave Nemeth, the local Trends' Analyst and well known retail specialist, who has been consulting for the show, firmly believes that Inspire will become a platform for international buyers, looking for innovative ideas combined with unique design. He feels there is undoubtedly a gap in the market for this type of trade exposure - an ultimate gateway for exhibitors to get a firm foot in the door within the African market.

Inspire is thus targeted primarily at the trade and is not open at all to the public. Trade registrations need to be done online, and it's highly recommended that all prospective buyers and industry from the desk of professionals attend, in their own interest and to enhance business. Apart from spectacular design and products, the show will also feature up and coming talent, the winners from the Samsung Inspire Design competition, alongside world renowned names such as Carrol Boyes and Ronel Jordaan. So Inspire is providing a lucrative opportunity for the creativity of new talent, in addition to the more dominant, influential names in the industry.

A key focus is on brands, designers with insight and innovation, and manufacturers and retailers with a view to targeting industry, rather than the end consumer. This exciting and uplifting show will also feature the display of 3D printing options, which has immense benefits across industries in general, still very much unexplored and relatively new to South Africa.

The highlights will include a host of talks from industry professionals (with agenda posted on the website), as well as Dave Nemeth launching his much anticipated Design Trend Forecast for 2016, entitled Creative Disruption. Book your tickets now to be updated on all the latest trends he has in store for you!
