i2 Mobile gears up for growth

i2, the diversified mobile phones and IT products provider based in the Middle East and Africa, has opened corporate regional headquarters in Johannesburg, South Africa.

This is to meet the growing demands of the group and the company's objective to expand in the region. The company intends to use the Johannesburg office to oversee all i2 operations, including its retail shops, in the sub-Sahara region incorporating operations in Ghana, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Angola, Reunion and Senegal.

Micheal Bruchausen, vice president of i2, South and central Africa said, “Opening a head office in Johannesburg is an integral proceeding to further expanding our geographical scope. The sub-Sahara is a significant market in regards with its dynamism and the awareness of its population. Therefore, we constantly seek to satisfy the needs and tastes of its consumers by offering them a diverse range of Nokia and IT products and by evolving its services to add value and enhance the clients shopping experience”.

The company is aggressively pursuing its expansion plans as the leading Telcom company in the Middle East and Africa and it has successfully positioned itself as a principal retailer, wholesaler and distributor of mobile phones and IT products. Their investment in opening a head office in Johannesburg will boost operational effectiveness and ensure flawless incorporation between diverse brand and retail divisions.

“2007 was a booming year as we effectively maintained our business success in all our markets across the Middle East and Africa as well as entered new untapped markets to secure our position as leaders in the telecommunication industry and seize every opportunity to enhance the value and productivity of our company.
