M-Net, the multi-channel Pan-African content provider, has today announced the further roll-out of the African Film Library (AFL) with a season of films dedicated to African humour.

The films, available to download from
www.africanfilmlibrary.com follows the launch of the video-on-demand service
earlier this year, this new season of films will feature a selection of hit African comedies.
The African film industry has a rich heritage in the comedy genre, producing films that provide a unique perspective on African culture and its political landscape, and often a source of escapism in times of unrest.
The catalogue includes:
Max and Mona, a story of village boy with extraordinary mourning skills
FESPACO 2007 winner Le President A-T-IL le Sida aka The President has Aids
Cameroonian comedy Pousse-Pousse and Rickshaw Tricycle Man by Daniel Kamwa
Soweto Green, a political drama-comedy made after South Africa's first historic democratic elections
Zimbabwean comedy-drama Kini and Adams by Idrissa Ouedraogo
