NEWSWATCH: Mail & Guardian appears to have got their hands on a copy of the ‘it's on, it's off… it's on, it's off' Zapiro satire, and now the SABC is trying to find out who leaked the documentary to the M&G, reports iafrica.com.

Good Ol' Goverment Censorship-

In our "New" same old government, our south african politicians failed to recognise when they scrambled to get into government is this:
Things That Get Into The Public Eye - Tend To Irritate It.

They forgot that once a person is a public official, and therefor a servant of the public, that person is open to public scrutiny, and ultimately public blame when that person screws up their job... just like any other employee anywhere.

The fact that so many politicians go to such great lengths to hide so much stuff from the public eye is proof enough that the only things that they are good at are lies, deceit, malfeasence, misfeasence and bonus paid non-performance.

Having worked so hard to develop the "side-step and back-pedal" techniques required for their jobs as a collection of chiseling, snake oil sales people... they dont like being being criticised for what is essentially: poor attempts at hiding the truth, revealing such a level of incompetency - that they cant even cover their own tracks.

Having failed at that - the only thing left is media censorship.
And ultimately government of the gullible, by the disfunctional.

SABC...Puppets-

We have known it for years..The SABC is nothing more than a puppet on Government's string and by not showing the broadcast on Special Assignment, their spinelessness was further proven.They should have rather given it to eTV, a station with balls! Posted on 28 May 2009 11:43
