The African Press Organisation is a partner of PressVideoconference. PressVideoconference allows international press conferences, via videoconference, over the Internet. Journalists may participate in an international press conference from a computer connected to the Internet and ask questions to receive direct answers from their interlocutor. In February 2009, the secretary-general of the African Press Organisation (APO), Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard, has declared that his non-profit organisation has anticipated a worldwide increase in the organisation of press video conferences, particularly because of the international crisis that has constrained journalists in terms of time and expenses.
