Surge in bus shelter advertising – Primedia Outdoor

Demand for advertising space on bus shelters is on the up and up, reports Primedia Outdoor, due to an increase in pedestrians and motorists on major roads. More marketers are also recognising the value of ambient media in an integrated marketing campaign.

“Out of home advertising is about positioning the real estate where it will be the most effective,” says Mark Mac Donnell, sales and marketing director, Primedia Outdoor. “With the slow stop-start traffic on our main roads, opportunity to see and absorb advertising communications has increased.

“These spaces are a valuable component in an advertiser's marketing mix, especially since people appear to be spending more time on the roads. We are witnessing increasingly longer drive times in the morning and evening.”
