The lodge offers 13 beautiful bungalows and one villa, all with spectacular views of the Indian Ocean. Chuini Zanzibar Beach Lodge also boasts a gourmet restaurant, a casual bar, three outdoor pools, a day spa, a games room, an open-air cinema and a private sandy bay just 150 metres away.

With this latest addition, Newmark’s expansion plans in Africa are being realised. “We have been searching for the right property on the island of Zanzibar for some time”, explains Neil Markovitz, managing director: Newmark, “and we’re delighted to have found a place that fits in our portfolio so well.”

Interior designer, Francois du Plessis, is involved in a sophisticated make-over of the interiors. The soft refurbishment will be done to each of the thatched bungalows with contemporary beach style décor and traditional finishes that frame the panoramic ocean views and encompass an ambience of a perfect retreat.

“Hakuna Matata was established by Rose and Fritz Geuen with so much love and care,” says Dr Hans J Heuer, Newmark’s director for Africa. “It is with great joy to continue taking this remarkable property under its new name of Chuini Zanzibar Beach Lodge to new heights.”

Chuini Zanzibar Beach Lodge is just 12km north of the historic Stone Town, a 20 minutes drive from the lodge. Another great attraction near the lodge is the forest at the Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, which is one of the world’s last sanctuaries for the red colobus monkey. When you are not swimming, exploring or enjoying the breath-taking sunsets, there’s also snorkelling, diving as well as big game fishing in the tropical waters surrounding the island of Zanzibar.

The exotic beach lodge offers a historical and cultural experience under the African skies on the magical spice island of Zanzibar.

Bookings open from 1 September 2016 and for reservations from 1 October 2016.
