Coaching: A powerful business tool for successIssued by: CCI Coaching AcademyLife coaching as an industry earns over $100 billion a year worldwide. In America, it's the second fastest growth industry, after IT. Five years ago there were only a handful of life coaches, this year the US anticipates as many as 15 000 reports the Sydney Morning Herald. South African businesses are fast embracing the concept says master coach Marc Steinberg. "Local corporates are realizing the worth and impact that this highly effective business tool can have on individuals within the organization as well as businesses as a whole."
If implemented effectively, coaching can assist companies, managers, CEO's and business owners achieve sustainable levels of power and competence within themselves and their organizations while at the same time substantially improving overall company effectiveness.
"Coaching is the most powerful tool that already successful people can use in order to accelerate and achieve future goals," says Steinberg who defines coaching as "an interactive conversation between the coach and an individual to generate shifts in their consciousness, leaving them complete as well as empowered and inspired to make positive life changes."
Executive Coaches work closely with senior level executives who have fiduciary responsibility to multiple stakeholders and who are responsible for economic, social and environmental well being of entire communities. These coaches serve as strategic partners to the executive leader and their team who are further also responsible for the stewardship of human, financial and intellectual capital and social resources.
"The Executive Coach's skills include business acumen and financial management, leadership and organizational skills, analytic and innovative thinking as well as an ability to inspire trust and commitment to action. These skills are vital for the executive coach to become an integral part of the senior decision making team," comments Steinberg
An international study was recently conducted by MetrixGlobal LLC to determine the business benefits and return on investment for an executive coaching programme. Coaching produced a 529% return on investment and significant intangible benefits to the business. "Successful coaching is measured by the client's results and nothing else," states Steinberg.
As a stand-alone profession, coaching has also taken off in South Africa as a result of the growing demand for qualified life coaches in the country.
In 2002, Marc Steinberg opened the Creative Consciousness International Coaching Academy (CCI) in Cape Town, offering an accredited coach training program in Life/Personal and Business/Executive and Consciousness Coaching®. With 20 years of research and successful coaching practice, Steinberg developed a high level curriculum consisting of four levels and progressing to advanced qualifications in Professional and Executive Coach training.
Steinberg has developed Consciousness Coaching ® that is an advanced method of Coaching that allows us to create shifts in our consciousness such that one is enabled to influence providence and create a self designed destiny.
The Creative Consciousness International Coaching Academy in Cape Town will be accredited by the end of September and is a registered member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and the WABC (Worldwide association of business coaches).
Says Steinberg, "To have the best available coaching on board isn't a question of time and money but rather the best business decision a company can make."
