Celebrating 50 years of the African Film Industry

To mark the 10th anniversary of the Sithengi Film and Television Market as well as 50 years of African cinema, the Cape Town World Cinema Festival (CTWCF) will this year feature an African retrospective that includes work from nine African countries.
In quality, depth and scope, the African Retrospective is a vital component of this year's CTWCF and for aficionados of African film, this is your rare opportunity to check out just how far contemporary African cinema has travelled.

For more information on the African Film Retrospective, details of other movies being show at the festival, the Sithengi Film and Television Market, or how to become a festival friend and reap the benefits of membership, visit the website www.sithengi.co.za.

"The Cape Town World Cinema Festival opens on the 11th of November with a Gala Screening of Tsotsi followed by an After-party with Zola and Friends and various musical acts. Tickets are available from Computicket.
