Expo Summit Africa: International speakers reinforce importance of Africa

Expo Summit Africa closed on the 14th February 2013 after a successful lineup of international and local speakers. Over 90 delegates attended the two day conference, and many of these delegates were international guests.
Mati Nyazema, Executive Director, Sandton Convention Centre moderated the two days. The Summit was opened by the Gauteng and Johannesberg Convention Bureau.

Amongst the speakers included: Dr Alioune Sall, Executive Director, African Futures Institute; Nick Forster, Group Commercial Director, Reed Exhibitions, UK ; Craig Newman, CEO, Johannesburg Expo Centre; Sandy Angus, Chairman, Montgomery Worldwide, UK ; Ilaria Cicero, General Legal Counsel at Fiera Milano S.p.A, Italy ; Anuj Mathur, Managing Director, Reed Manch Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd, India; Simon Kimble, CEO, Clarion Events, UK; Dr Sean McCoy, CEO, HKLM Group; Alec Hogg, Scenario Planner ; Jeunesse Park, Climate Reality Leader and Founder of 'Trees for Africa'; Rashid Toefy, CEO, CTICC.

The speakers all transported a positive message of where Africa is going, and the trends that we can expect to see. The international speakers shared their plans to integrate into Africa, or how they came into the continent.

Expo Summit Africa was organised in partnership with Manch Communications. The Diamond sponsor was JHB Expo Centre. Other partners included: National Convention Bureau; Gauteng Convention Bureau; Joburg Convention Bureau; Gearhouse; Green Exhibitions and Sandton Convention Centre. Cape Town International Convention Centre sponsored the gala dinner which took place on the 13 February.
