Vega is and has always been about thinking and great ideas. More importantly Vega is about positive relevant ideas that make a difference. As such internships are incorporated into our official curricula to help ease students into real-world branding, marketing and advertising positions.
Undergraduate Internships Both BA Creative Brand Communication final year students and Brand Leadership Honours students are required to successfully complete a one-month internship before they graduate.
These internships aim to create unique opportunities for students to experience real-life working situations within a company or agency and for employers to engage with young creative talent. They also provide the ideal opportunity for both the employer and the intern to form a long-term relationship. Our students often secure full-time positions in the same company or agency where they completed their internships

Imagination Labs Internships Vega's Imagination Lab programme is a year-long course designed to equip previously disadvantaged students with workplace skills, as well as to facilitate student internships.
Registered with the SAQA as a Level 4 Certificate in Advertising, the Imagination Labs focus on personal exploration and creative experimentation. Students are exposed to the workplace through an internship programme supported by agencies including: Jupiter Drawing Room, DRAFT FCB, TBWA Hunt Lascaris, Old Shanghai Firecracker Factory, as well as Primedia Unlimited.
By employing Imagination Lab interns, companies and agencies can take advantage of the unique resources these students provide, while contributing to transformation of the sector.
Since its inception, more than 700 students have graduated from the Imagination Lab, most of them going on to employment in fulltime positions.
