New chief executive for Interbrand Sampson Group

Doug de Villiers has taken over the new role of Chief Executive of Interbrand Sampson Group. Founder and former Chief Executive, Jeremy Sampson assumes the role of Executive Chairman.
Interbrand Sampson is now a group of companies operating as a hub from Johannesburg, with offices in Cape Town, Nairobi and Lagos and providing specialist operations for Brand Engagement and Architectural services.

De Villiers has been with Interbrand Sampson for two years, developing the business up into Africa. Prior to this he has lived in Spain, Sri Lanka and Switzerland, working and consulting with companies as diverse as Holderbank, Enterprise IG, McKinsey & Deloitte Consulting.

“Doug combines in-depth knowledge of management skills with creativity, essential in the world of branding, where brands are often today the main assets of companies,” says Sampson.

Over the last 24 months, Interbrand Sampson has doubled in size, and in the last 12 months alone, has delivered projects in over a dozen African countries, using local and global expertise from several of Interbrand's 35 global offices.
