Integrated Brand Services agency Brand inc has hired three new staff to add to the growing staff complement at its head office in Cape Town.
The company, which celebrated some big wins after winning the pitch for global brand ASICS, being given lead agency responsibility for creative to activate Vaseline's Springbok Sponsorship and then being appointed to handle the above-the-line responsibilites to amplify the Dawn Day Spa campaign, is experiencing a bumper year and anticipating this growth to continue well into 2015.
"The growth the agency is experiencing at the moment is a clear indication that the agency is on the right track when it comes to conceptualising and executing strategic campaigns that deliver excellent results for our clients," said Brand inc MD Chris Heaton.
Brand inc's three new employees, Mieke Bredenkamp, Amy Stroebel and Ashley Barnes have been hired to fill positions in Brand inc's finance, design and client service departments respectively.
Fresh from studying a BA in Creative Brand Communication, Amy Stroebel started a small studio called Absolute Zero with a colleague from Triple-A, handling design and advertising for small up and coming businesses and brands. Her decision to come to Brand inc was fuelled by her desire to branch out from graphic design into art direction and by the fact that she wanted to work for a fresh, exciting, dynamic company instead of one of the established industry big-wigs.
Mieke Bredenkamp studied a BCom in Economic Analysis at Stellenbosch before doing her articles at an auditing firm in Stellenbosch where she stayed on to become the firm's internal financial accountant.
She then worked at Woolworths as a retail analyst for two years before joining Brand inc following her desire to get back into financial accounting. The creative energy and friendly working atmosphere were key factors in Mieke's decision to move to Brand inc. Mieke has taken over as Financial Manager for the Brand inc Creative Group.
Ashley Barnes joins Brand inc as an Account Director following a career that began with in ballet amd saw her tour the world with various ballet companies before switching over to Lucky Strike where she worked as a brand ambassador and cut her teeth in marketing.
From there she was promoted to British American Tabacco's head office where she worked in the marketing department for three and a half years. Her life path then veered toward advertising where her passion and calling lay.
Since then she has worked for agencies including Ogilvy Cape Town and 140BBDO where she headed up the business for all the company's blue chip clients.
"We are very excited to welcome Mieke, Amy and Ashley to the Brand inc Creative Group and look forward to the positive contribution they are all sure to make to the Brand inc business going forward," concluded Heaton.
