Nokia Music Store widens its distribution channels

Following the launch of the Nokia Music Store on the 24th of April 2009, Nokia, together with Edgars and CNA have widened the distribution channels and have made Nokia Music Store vouchers available at Edgars and CNA stores countrywide. With a single voucher, music lovers can access the Nokia Music Store via their desktop computer using the latest Nokia Music for PC software, which can be downloaded for free from music.nokia.co.za.

By expanding its distribution channels to Edgars and CNA stores countrywide, Nokia is offering people access to a wide range of music tracks with a unique user experience either from the PC or compatible Nokia device.

Lloyd Waldeck, Executive Manager at Edcon, says Nokia Music Store provides the consumer with a credible and legal online music offering. Edcon, through its various formats, has been a supporter of local and international music for years and is pleased to take the Nokia Music Store to the South African consumer. Edcon is one of the largest resellers of cell phones in southern Africa with over 150 Edgars stores and 200 CNA stores countrywide.

Nokia Music Store vouchers can be purchased from Edgars and CNA branches countrywide in R50, R100 and R150 denominations. Individual tracks on the Nokia Music Store cost R10 and albums cost R100 per album. There are more than five million tracks from both major and independent labels; international and local artists.
