At drupa, callas software will be showing the latest enhancements of its print production suite of products. The all-new callas pdfToolbox 4 is a major upgrade for callas' print production toolset. It is going be-yond regular preflighting and fixing to offer functionality that just gets the job done. callas will be present at the drupa innovation parc, in Hall 7, booth 7.0 C.

Due for release later this year callas pdfToolbox 4 is set to dramatically change job prepara-tion in Acrobat. While other solutions take a more interactive approach, pdfToolbox 4 will simply execute common tasks or prepare files for a certain type of production with one touch of a button.

Core Technology Power
As the engine that drives Preflight in Adobe® Acrobat®, the callas PDF library has proven its technological strengths. In pdfToolbox 4 the library has been thoroughly updated, offering significant productivity and feature increases. It also supports all the latest ISO standards such as the recently published PDF/X-4 and PDF/X-4p standard as well as the latest ver-sions of PDF/A and PDF/E.

Beyond preflight and fixing
callas pdfToolbox 4 offers more than just PDF quality control. With its all-new imposition fea-tures it is bound to become the most complete, all-in-one print production toolset on the market. callas pdfToolbox 4 will offer quick and easy preparation for finishing such as book-let creation, N-Up or double burn. In addition language or regional versions of existing PDFs can be easily created with the all-new versioning feature.

The new pdfToolbox 4 features a completely revamped state-of-the-art user-interface. Apart from its good looks, this new user-interface will intuitively guide you to the functionality you need. While other applications may offer functionality like color conversion or content ma-nipulation as well, with callas pdfToolbox 4 you'll simply get it done faster. You'll create Ghent PDF Workgroup compliant PDFs, ready for print, literally by just one touch of a button. Apart from the features focusing on conventional prepress needs, with pdfToolbox 4 non-expert users will be able to easily create self-running presentations or create handouts from PDF slides.

Apart from pdfToolbox 4, callas will show how to gain productivity through automation. callas pdfToolbox Server offers an easy way to automate your PDF workflow. You can now preflight and fix large volumes of PDF files all with the same technology used by Adobe® Acrobat®. You can rest assured that the automated process will deliver the exact same re-sult as when an individual operator is checking the file manually. callas pdfAutoOptimizer handles automated transparencies flattening, making it the ideal companion to pdf Toolbox Server for hands-off preparation of files for print. By combining pdfToolbox and pdfAutoOptimizer you're able to fully automatically make jobs ready for output on any equipment and repurpose files for different media.
