During the annual Flexographic Technical Association of South Africa (FTASA) Print Excellence Awards held last week, Nampak Corrugated was awarded first prize in the Corrugated Coated (Process) category.
The awards programme, aimed at raising standards and showcasing advances in the flexographic printing sector of the packaging industry, recognised Corrugated's AEG Flexio carton for printing excellence in what was described as "a stunning graphic result considering the large format and substrate." Nampak Corrugated was also awarded the runner up and finalist titles in the same category for the Two Oceans and KWV Fives Reserves cartons. They also scooped the runner up title in the Corrugated Uncoated (Process) category for the Tassenberg carton.
The magazine-quality graphical printing on each of these cartons was made possible with their Bobst Masterflex machine. The Masterflex's ability to print seven colours or six colours plus a varnish allows for a great deal of creative flexibility. This combined with the machine's ability to print on a variety of substrates in different sizes means that a packaging solution can be produced in line with the customer's specific requirements.
The awards prove that Nampak Corrugated continuously strives towards making successful branding happen for their clients. In that way they are also able to packaging excellence in everything that they do.
