Vehicle branding and transit media specialist, Graffiti, has given the Suncoast Casino, Hotels and Entertainment cab fleet yet another fresh new look by rebranding the 43 Nissan Livina and Grand Livina vehicles with their third creative execution. Owned and operated by Durban's Mozzie Cabs, the vehicles were first branded on behalf of Suncoast in 2008 and have since successfully showcased the Suncoast brand for the last four years.
The newly-wrapped vehicles have been given an updated look in keeping with Suncoast'S latest "Feel the Beat" rebrand which focuses upon having fun, enjoying the good life and all the experiences that are to be had at the popular entertainment venue. The cabs have been branded with two distinct looks: one lighter version that alludes to daytime experiences and another with a predominantly black background with bright pink spotlights which speaks of Suncoast'S vibrant nightlife. Emblazoned in turquoise, pink and white and each featuring a lifestyle image of people having a great time, the 22 daytime cabs are all branded with the slogan "Jump on Board" whilst the 21 darker night-time cabs feature the line "Come Out to Play."
Comments Suncoast Marketing Manager, Louise Howell, "The branded cabs really have worked well for the Suncoast brand over the last four years - people have come to associate the vehicles with Suncoast itself, often referring to them specifically as the 'Suncoast cabs.' These eye-catching vehicles have afforded us the ability to create a significant presence in and around Durban and the positive association of providing secure, reliable transportation for our guests is a significant added-value benefit of this particular advertising medium."
Adds Graffiti Managing Director John Rice, "Suncoast has effectively dominated the cab advertising medium in Durban for the past four years and this has allowed them to create an exceptionally powerful, iconic presence on the city's roads. They have also managed to keep their creative fresh and relevant which has ensured that people don't simply become used to cabs. This is an example of where the cab medium really suits the brand and works well for it, both in its ability to act as a mobile billboard and as a safe, dependable transport alternative for Suncoast guests and the Durban public at large."
Ends Howell, "Over-and-above the general advertising and transportation role played by the branded cabs, the mobility and versatility of the medium means we also have had the additional option of utilising the vehicles as a conspicuous branding tool at the various high-profile events in and around Durban. As a result we are always ensured of a high-profile presence with minimal effort and expense."
