Vehicle branding and transit media specialist Graffiti has once again demonstrated its commitment to breast cancer awareness, by sponsoring the branding of a third vehicle for mobile breast health initiative, PinkDrive. This follows on from the successful branding of PinkDrive's two mobile breast check units in 2010 where Graffiti first gave PinkDrive its bold pink presence on the country's roads.
In operation for over two years, PinkDrive has conducted over 4 000 free mammograms, carried out over 40 000 clinical breast examinations and educated almost 50 000 women on breast health to date. The organisation has cleared the backlog of mammography at both Groote Schuur and Tygerberg Hospitals in Cape Town and will be moving to Chris Hani Baragwanath in January 2013 where they currently have a six-month mammography backlog.
The newly-branded PinkDrive Toyota Quantam sponsored by Budget Rent-a-Car has been adorned with the same pink branding as the mobile breast check units but has been glammed up with a set of vehicle eyelashes for extra impact. This vehicle is utilised in addition to PinkDrive's mobile breast check units to transport PinkDrive educators into rural areas and townships for further breast cancer education initiatives. It is also becomes a mobile advertising medium used at generating interest and awareness at high profile events such as the recent Momentum 94.7 Cycle Race in Johannesburg.
Comments PinkDrive Founder and CEO, Noelene Kotschan, "Our bright pink vehicles have generated a great deal of interest wherever we have been over the last two years, helping us educate and help those in need. Graffiti's generosity has given the PinkDrive vehicles an amazing presence which has helped us to build a powerful brand image and brand awareness in a relatively short period of time. Through our impactful pink vehicle branding people now know and recognise our initiative which certainly helps our cause a great deal."
Adds Graffiti Managing Director, John Rice, "PinkDrive has done such exceptional work over the last two years, not only in educating women but in helping to save countless lives. If, by branding their vehicles, Graffiti can assist them in conducting their life-saving work in some way then we're only too grateful for the opportunity. Our commitment plays a very small role in a much greater endeavour and we're proud to be associated with something so worthy."
