Graffiti gets Guess styling with new branded vehicles

14 Nov 2012 09:471 commentsBizLike
Vehicle wrapping and transit media expert, Graffiti, recently gave the Guess brand a stylish new look on board the well-known Guess Limousine and 15 Johannesburg school buses.
This was the fourth time that Graffiti has branded the Guess Limo with the clothing brand's iconic international ad campaigns. The latest creative execution features the 2012 summer campaign for Guess adults. Privately owned by the Busby Company itself, the vehicle is used primarily as a unique advertising medium and generates interest and hype wherever it goes. It is used to transport company directors and guests or is simply parked as a mobile billboard at various strategic social events.

Commenting on the latest rebranding, Busby Head of Marketing, Tamsyn Egnos-Rutstein, says, "The Guess Limousine is easily recognised throughout Johannesburg's Northern Suburbs and is a great marketing tool as it generates a great deal of attention wherever it goes. People want to have their photo taken next to it and want to take a look inside - it's a great attraction. Graffiti has helped us keep the vehicle at its eye-catching best by constantly adorning it in the latest international campaigns for the past three years, ensuring it is always on-trend with the latest look."

The fifteen Guess school buses all belong to the King David School in Johannesburg and are branded in the latest Guess Kids campaign. The school buses along with the Guess Limousine all form an important out-of-home element in the broader Guess advertising campaign which includes outdoor, in-mall campaigns as well as print and online elements.

Says Egnos-Rutstein, "The Guess advertising campaigns are shot by world-renowned photographer Ellen von Unworth and feature some of the world's top modelling talent. Each campaign carries an element of style that is carried through onto the branded vehicles and sets a specific tone for the brand wherever these vehicles go."

Adds Graffiti Managing Director, John Rice, "The Guess brand and its advertising campaigns really speak for themselves. The style of the creative is distinctive and identifiable and people look out for their advertising. Busby has however been very clever in their choice of advertising medium. The Guess brand is exclusive, international and aspirational and therefore perfectly suits the glamour and prestige of a limousine. Similarly, the school bus advertising medium provides an excellent strategic opportunity with which to promote Guess Kids. As a result you have a very powerful and effective transit campaign."

Is it just me or does this look like a billboard stuck on the side of a car?

An 'x-ray' image of Guess models (male and female) partying inside the car could have looked better? A 'peak' into the life of the Guess brand. Posted on 14 Nov 2012 16:38
