On Monday 29 October 2012, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines resumed flights to Zimbabwe after a 13-year break in the route. The airline will now run three weekly flights between Harare International Airport and Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport.
By adding Harare to its destinations, "KLM (now) has a strong network and position in Africa," said executive vice-president for marketing, Pieter Bootsma, in a statement on the airline's website.
KLM has selected Alliance Media as its media partner in order to promote the service and Alliance Media Zimbabwe, who holds the exclusive advertising concession to all of Zimbabwe's airports, has installed media within the airport for KLM.
Alliance Media was awarded this contract by KLM on the basis of work that Alliance Media currently undertakes for KLM in other countries.
Alliance Media is widely recognised as Africa's largest out of home media company, operating airport and outdoor media in 23 countries on the African continent.
