The red double-decker City Sightseeing buses are world-renowned, and in Cape Town these iconic open-topped buses have an active and established presence taking locals and tourists to experience some of the best-loved locations in the city and surrounds.

In Cape Town, City Sightseeing has been hailed as a global leader in sightseeing and runs two exciting routes, the Red City Tour and the Blue Mini Peninsula Tour.

City Sightseeing also now has a presence in Johannesburg, where the bus follows a fascinating and ground-breaking route through the Johannesburg CBD, as well as in the vibrant township of Soweto - tours that have already earned a coveted place in the Gauteng Signature Collection's Lilizela Tourism Awards.

The world-class service and the popularity of the tours being delivered by City Sightseeing in South Africa has recently been recognised and rewarded.

City Sightseeing Johannesburg and City Sightseeing Cape Town both recently won esteemed awards as Top Performers from TripAdvisor - the world's largest travel site. This month the company also announced that they have won two more prestigious awards for their Johannesburg and Cape Town tours - with City Sightseeing Joburg and Soweto winning an award for Best New City Sightseeing Operator of the Year, and City Sightseeing Cape Town winning the award for Best Customer Services.

With the first half of 2014 having kicked off with such a bang, the team at City Sightseeing South Africa have committed to keeping the momentum going and are in the midst of rolling out additional Tour Offices for ticket and merchandise sales, and are planning to expand their route offerings in both cities to improve their customers sightseeing experiences even further.

With Cape Town being recognised as the World Design Capital in 2014 the number of visitors to the city has increased and what better way for them to explore the best that the city has to offer than with a hop-on hop-off City Sightseeing tour that takes in Table Mountain, the revered Constantia Winelands, the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Hout Bay - or through the city and it's museums which capture our colourful history.

Johannesburg, the largest city in South Africa holds a wealth of both modern and historic experiences, ranging from the state-of-the-art Gautrain rail system to the Apartheid Museum.

City Sightseeing offers the most convenient and enjoyable way to see them all in a single tour.
