According to Mukoma Attorneys, acting for Mzansi TV (trading as Gau TV), Mzansi TV has launched a review application against ICASA with regard to the broadcasting regulator's refusal to issue it with a Class Satellite Community Broadcasting Service license.
Mzansi TV is a Gauteng community broadcaster that intends to provide a community broadcasting service through satellite in line with the Electronic Communications Act. The service shall be available in Gauteng and is claimed to be the first community broadcasting service provider that intends to transmit its broadcasting service through its own satellite and set top boxes.

The station intends to provide 100% local content produced by content providers from Sedibeng, Tshwane, Mogale, Ekurhuleni and Joburg Municipal areas.

The review application was launched on 22 February 2013.
