Pollen and Hey!Fever create beautiful broadcast promo for Kyknet and ABSA Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees

Issued by: Hummingbird Group | 13 Jun 2014 08:30
In March 2014, Afrikaans channel KykNet celebrated its 15th year on air - coinciding with the ABSA Klein Karoo National Arts Festival's (KKNK) 20th anniversary.

The channel is a long time sponsor of the festival, and we were briefed to create a promotional spot leading up to the event.

The creative focuses on a "birthday card" motif, where the Karoo's regional character and festival attractions are stylised and treated like paper pop-up devices. Stylistically, the creative has a nostalgic approach - where we specifically looked at 70s era illustration styles and dreamy colour palettes.
