According to SAPPMA chairman, Jan Venter, this annual conference, specifically for the plastic pipe industry, will once again cover a myriad of topics and angles. "We are looking forward to having cutting-edge, interesting and thought-provoking presentations by local and international experts. Given the wide spectrum of delegates that have been attending the Pipes Conferences over the past nine years, we prefer not to restrict speakers too much in terms of their topics as there is so much new research being done, new methods being developed and new areas of discussion that need to be given a platform," Venter says.

However, topics must be related to plastic pipe, but may be specific to design, materials, quality, energy, conservation, installation, costing, projects and/or infrastructure development.

Presenters are allowed 40 minutes to do a PowerPoint presentation and five minutes for interactive questions. It must be strictly non-commercial, factual and relevant to the South African market. The 2015 conference will be a full-day event, with keynote sessions taking place in the main auditorium and parallel sessions running concurrently after the tea break.

Interested speakers are requested to submit their full details, along with a proposed title and short abstract to the SAPPMA organising committee by no later than 14 July 2015 for consideration. Once accepted, presenters will receive a Speaker Submission Form which must be completed and submitted (along with supporting documentation, i.e. full abstract, CV and head and shoulders photograph in high resolution) to SAPPMA by no later than 21 August 2015.
