Heart 104.9FM is showing their heart and helping needy kids with the launch of their new CSI strategy - Show Your Heart. The station saw it as their responsibility to adopt the children of Cape Town as their corporate social investment strategy and for this reason will be implementing and partnering various campaigns and initiatives that will help the needy and neglected children of their community.
Show Your Heart will form the umbrella brand under which the station will be conducting all of its CSI initiatives, such as the soon-to-be-launched ABSA Heartwarming Campaign, which will be uplifting several schools within the community, the annual Toy Run as well as the International Kite Festival in aid of Cape Mental Health and the station's very own annual Car Splash in aid of Cape Town Child Welfare.
Known as a station that has a strong presence in the community Heart 104.9FM has always been dedicated to making a change in their community. “Our CSI initiatives not only talk about the needs and the issues out there, neither do they expect our listeners to give only of their money, but they call on our listeners to get involved. We provide listeners opportunities to give of their time and energy and to literally work with us in changing the lives of thousands of children on a ground level,” says Liesl Laubscher, Public Relations Officer for the station. She continued by saying that this is another way for the station to further strengthen their relationships with their listeners and to give listeners an opportunity to actively get involved in a good cause and also see where there money is going.
