According to the station, Olsen's passion for and knowledge of music, her distinct understanding of the 5FM audience and very specific knowledge of the business- and publishing-side of the local and international music industry were key determining factors in her appointment.

I'm really excited to have been given the opportunity to play more of a senior role in achieving this objective! 5FM also recently launched its new brand campaign across TV, outdoor, cinema and print, “The Power of 5”, which is all about the effect 5FM has on the world around one.
