Michaela's Radio Medium Blog bulleted to the No 5 slot of the Most Popular Media and Marketing Blogs, just weeks after it was launched. This is according to South African blog aggregator, Amatomu.com, a Mail and Guardian website.

The blog is an extension of Michaela's popular show on Jacaranda 94.2, weeknights between 20h00 and 21h00. Her show has proven to be one of the station's most popular features. The new blog has now replicated that success and the blog consistently remains in the the top ten in the Media and Marketing Blogs category.

“As the only on-air medium, Michaela has become a unique feature on Jacaranda 94.2,” says Lloyd Madurai, station programming manager.

“Our aim was to recreate the warm, inspirational and interactive tone of her show in an online environment. This allows her legions of fans to make contact with her, read her positive on-line diary and post their own comments.”

Introduced on-air in mid-2005, Michaela's popularity has gone from strength to strength. “The response to Michaela's show has been exceptional,” concludes Madurai. “Often her incoming mail far exceeds that of some of the station's biggest competitions.”
