Rian van Heerden wins 2014 Huisgenoot Tempo Award for Best Radio Presenter

Issued by: Jacaranda 94.2 FM | 10 Jun 2014 12:33
Congratulations to Complimentary Breakfast host, Rian van Heerden, on winning the Best Radio Presenter prize at the Huisgenoot Tempo Awards held at Emperors Palace on 3 June. Rian was pitched against leading industry peers like Smile FM's Tracey Lange, Martelize Brink, Amore Bekker and Johan Rademan - all from RSG, and OFM's Andre Kunz.

The award comes as Rian's first Huisgenoot accolade of this type, off the back of trailblazing campaigns like Rian's Love Tour, Good Morning Angels High Tea, and the Haka for Bokke video.

Rian van Heerden commented on the win, "Acknowledgment of this sort, from one of South Africa's most popular publications is really special, and the fact that the final result was decided by the voting public makes it all the more significant. Thanks to all the Huisgenoot readers who voted for me, I am truly honoured."
