According to the Business Report report, Business and first-class travel between Africa and the Middle East rose by 40,3% year-on-year according to figures released by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) while ticket sales for flights from Africa to the Far East were up by 13,8%.
According to IATA, traffic between Africa and Europe was also up with 11,6% more passengers flying between these continents. Globally, total premium travel increased by an annualised rate of 6% in March, compared with annual growth of 5% last year.

IATA reports that growth in trade for developed countries declined throughout 2011 but there has been a slight improvement over the past six months. Economy-class travel increased by 7,5% between January and March this year.
