Founded in 1984 by Kobus Potgieter, KND's prime focus was to become a world-class naval research and development facility, both locally and internationally.

KND has just completed the successful sea trials of its all-new 10m Fast Life Support Ambulance. The vessel is well equipped with all the latest medical equipment, WC, hand wash basin, seating for two medical personnel and two patients. Fitted with two 250 Yamaha outboards, the vessel is claimed to have reached a maximum speed of 40kts (about 75km/h) with ease.
This objective, which the Cape Town-based company says on its website has already achieved, continues to be its driving force.

KND's professional services are designed to help you "concretise" your concept through to certification, promptly... with minimal risk. At the company's premises in Cape Town, KND builds, integrates and implements cutting edge solutions to address today's client challenges with technology flexible enough to accommodate tomorrow's specifications.
